5 including 2 foreigners held on fraud charges



KATHMANDU: Police arrested five people including two foreigners on fraud charges from various places in the capital.

The arrested are identified as Nigerian national Cyril Chinonso Ibeh, 40, (passport number A 09039072) and Ivory Cost national Assape Adji Pierrejean, 23, (passport number 17AP41871).

Similarly those arrested are Ram Chandra Gaire, 40 of Gunjanagar-6, Chitwan, currently staying at Khushibu, Umesh Shrestha, 49, of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26 and Hari Ojha, 31, of Kalikanagar Municipality-7, Chitwan.

They were arrested for defrauding many people by creating fake Facebook accounts and promising them of sending parcels containing dollars and valuable goods, said police.

Police said they are investigating the case after filing a fraud charge against them.
