Two Nepalis die in Australia

SYDNEY: Two Nepalis have died and a third is fighting for his life after being pulled from the water in Sydney’s north.
It is understood the three men were part of a group who were camping in the area.

According to reports by Australian local media, the deceased are Roshan Chhatkuli and Bishal Sedhain while the injured is Pradeep Pandey.

Witnesses rescued a 28-year-old man from the water at Crossland Reserve River near Hornsby in the Berowra National Park at about 7: 30 pm on Friday, Daily Mail reported.

Emergency services were called to the scene immediately and the man was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition and suffering breathing difficulties.

Police divers then recovered the bodies of two friends, aged 23 and 26, four hours later.

The three men were part of a camping group of ten people who were visiting Crossland Reserve.

‘Around 7: 20 pm last night, three males went down to the river. A short time after that, one of the males was seen to be in some difficulty,’ a New South Wales police spokesman said.

‘Witnesses went in to assist and pulled that man to shore, At that time, they noticed the other two males had disappeared from view,’ police said.

Witnesses performed CPR on the 28-year-old man before paramedics arrived.

The man remains in Westmead Hospital where he is in a critical condition.
