Kathmandu witnesses moderate rainfall; domestic flights affected (In pics)



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley on Friday witnessed moderate rainfall throughout the day.

Normal life was affected due to the rain in Kathmandu.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division had earlier predicted rainfall in some of the places, including the eastern and central regions of the country.

The Division has, meanwhile, forecast brief rain or thundershowers possible at a few places.

The weather is generally cloudy in the eastern and central regions with chances of heavy rains.

Likewise, partly to generally cloudy weather is forecast throughout the country.

Meanwhile, rain on Friday partially affected domestic flights at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

International flights, however, have not been affected, according to General Manager Debendra KC at the TIA, adding that low visibility has affected flights since today morning.

According to him, domestic flights to mountainous and hilly areas have been affected.
