Myanmar Tourism Minister visits Lumbini

LUMBINI: Myanmar Tourism Minister Ohn Maung, who arrived here to visit the birthplace of Lord Buddha, said he would encourage his fellow citizens to visit Nepal.

At a program organized here following his Lumbini visit, Maung further said he would urge the travel agencies in his country to arrange a package tour to Lumbini on the occasion of the Visit Nepal Year 2020.

“Birthplace of Lord Buddha, Lumbini, is the center of faith for the people of Myanmar. So, we are eager to visit Lumbini once in life,” he reminded.

In addition to Maung, who came to Nepal to attend the inaugural of Visit Nepal Year 2020 in Kathmandu, high-level officials from Cambodia and Bhutan also visited Lumbini.
