ROLPA: Normal life in Rolpa has been brought to a grinding halt due to shutdown enforced by the Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal.
CPN’s Rapti Bureau had announced shutdown in protest of the arrest and detention of its cadres by police administration.
With this, long and short route vehicles along with market places, factories and educational institutions in Rolpa district have remained completely closed.
However, the vegetable shops, groceries, hotels and pharmacy based in the headquarters are open.
Police arrested its cadres Pradeep Wali, Iswori Pandey and Rudra Wali from Tulsipur while the latter were attending a program to honor martyrs, the party stated.
The party sources said that the police administration had arrested its cadres from other places of Rolpa district as well.
Keshab Bahadur Bantha, CPN Rapti Bureau in-charge, in a press release, informed that Dang, Salyan, Rukum, Pyuthan and Rolpa districts of Rapti would remain closed in protest of the arrest.
