Tourism agencies announce discount offers in view of VN 2020

KATHMANDU: Several tourism agencies have announced discount offers as only two days are left for the beginning of Visit Year 2020.

The offers have been made in a bid to encourage foreigners to prolong they stay in Nepal.

The Visit Year 2020 being launched on January 1.

The Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) has announced to provide a 30 percent discount on its services, according to the first Vice-Chairperson of HAN, Binayak Shah.

Shah assured of quality service to the foreign tourists. There are over 2,000 hotels including luxury star hotels affiliated to HAN, which can accommodate 2.5 million guests.

Likewise, Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) said that it is launching promotional various activities and providing a 20 percent discount on its service to foreign tourists.

Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) has also announced a concession of 10 percent to the service seekers.

Similarly, the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATA) has offered a 10 percent discount on its services on the occasion of Visit Nepal 2020.

NATA President CN Pandey informed that customers purchasing tour packages through NATA-associated travel agencies would be provided a 10 percent discount in its services.

Likewise, Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA) President Ganga Prasad Nepal said that his association would offer a 15 percent discount for rafting and other water-related adventure sports to the foreign visitors during NV 2020.

Nepal Mountaineering Association has followed the suit so as to aid in the government’s campaign to bring in at least 2 million visitors in 2020.

Homestay Association’s President Keshav Badal said foreign guests choosing homestay would be offered up to 20 percent discount on lodging and foods. Around 600 homestays are being operated in 57 districts in Nepal.

Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter President Bidhuti Chand Thakur said PATA Nepal Chapter would organize various promotional events targeting the Visit Nepal 2020, one among them being ‘NICE’ event (Nepal, India, China Expo) in February next year.

Similarly, Thamel Development Council is also organizing various promotional events throughout 2020.
