House panel directs NIC to present annual reports

KATHMANDU: The Development and Technology Committee has directed the National Information Commission (NIC) to present its annual reports in the Committee for discussions.

The reports have not been discussed in Parliament for the past 11 years despite having tabled at Parliament through Prime Minister.

The reports would be discussed in a Parliament meeting following their deliberations in the Committee

Likewise, the Committee directed the government to start the process to amend 96 laws that are contradictory to the Right to Information Act, 2064 BS.
