Shristi Panta injured in Chabahil road mishap dies



KATHMANDU: Shristi Panta who sustained critical injuries after being hit by a bus near Gopi Krishna Cinema Hall has died.

Panta, who originally hails from Gorkha Deurali,  has succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at Om Hospital.

Tension has flared in Chabahil area after students set a vehicle on fire for hitting a student of Pashupati Campus, this morning.

Agitating students have also disrupted vehicular movement at Chabahil area.

Panta was a student of BBS fourth year at Pashupati Campus.

Meanwhile, police have taken the vehicle and its driver under control and are investigating the case.

A large number of security personnel have been deployed in the incident site. Few students have sustained injuries in the clash with police.
