Convicts of 2008 Jaipur blast sentenced to death

NEW DELHI: All four convicts in the 2008 Jaipur blast case were sentenced to death on Friday.

According to Indian media reports, the Special Court in Jaipur of Rajasthan gave the verdict in the 2008 Jaipur bomb blast case.

The four convicts sentenced to death in the case include Sarvar Aazmi, Saifur Rahman, Mohammad Saif and Salman.

The Jaipur court had on Wednesday pronounced verdict in the blast case, holding four of the accused guilty.

The Jaipur bombings in 2008 were a series of nine synchronized blasts on 13 May 2008 within a span of fifteen minutes at different locations of Jaipur causing the death of 63 people and more than 216 people injured.

Earlier, in February 2018, a Special Cell of Delhi Police had arrested an Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorist Ariz Khan alias Junaid. (Agencies)
