NC’s attention drawn towards Kohalpur incident

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has said its serious attention has been drawn toward the Kohalpur incident.

A protest following the road accident at Kohalpur has created a serious situation in Kohalpur.

The demonstration erupted after a truck hit Prakriti Chand, a seventh-grader, of Tribhuvan Secondary School, when she was going to school along with her father on a motorcycle on Sunday morning.

An enraged mob torched the truck involved in the hit and set the canteen remaining inside the Area Police Office Kohalpur on fire.

Issuing a press release, NC chief secretary Krishna Poudel said that the situation led to violence due to lack of security bodies’ alertness was painful.

NC has urged the government to manage treatment to the injured persons and take action against those found guilty.
