13th SAG: Nepal defeats B’desh; to clash with Bhutan in final

KATHMANDU: Nepal has entered into the final of the Men’s Football after defeating Bangladesh in the ongoing 13th South Asian Games.

In the today match played at the Dashrath Stadium in Kathmandu on Sunday, Nepal thrashed Bangladesh 1-0 with a single goal from Sunil Bal at the 10th minute of the first half.

In the second half, Nepal’s efforts to net the post did not materialize despite several opportunities.

With this win, Nepal will play with Bhutan in the final on Tuesday.

Earlier, Bhutan made the road to final defeating the Maldives 3-0 played on Saturday.

If Nepal thrashes Bhutan in the final, Nepal will grab the gold medal in Men’s SAG Football for the third time.

Nepal had won the gold medal in 1993 and 2016.
