BIRATNAGAR: Krishna Bahadur Giri alias Siddhababa accused of raping his follower has been arrested from the hospital.
A team led by DSP Binod Sharma at District Police Office, Sunsari arrested Giri on Monday morning from Biratnagar-based Birat Nursing Home. District court had issued a warren arrest to him.
Siddhababa had been hospitalized after he suffered cardiac arrest at the Birat Nursing Home. He was undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.
Giri has been accused of raping his follower at his ashram in Chatara of Sunsari district on October 21. A rape case was lodged against him at the court on Thursday.
