Two policemen injured in bear attack



RASUWA: Two police person of the Armed Police Force (APF) sustained injuries when a wild bear mauled them at Timure in Rasuwa district on Sunday.

The injured were assistant-constable Bir Bahadur Thing of Naukunda Rural Municipality-4 in Rasuwa and police constable Kiran Tamang of Sruyagadhi Rural Municipality-1 in Nuwakot district.

They were deployed in the 21 no company under the APF’s Revenue Custom Security at Timure.

The incident took place while the duo was working for arranging a drinking water facility for the barrack, according to the Chief District Officer (CDO) in Rasuwa, Arjun Bhandari.

CDO Bhandari shared that Thing received a serious injury in his head from the wild bear’s attack while Tamang’s condition was normal.

Critically injured Thing has been sent to Kathmandu in an ambulance for further treatment, the CDO informed.
