300 volunteers clean up Bagmati

KATHMANDU: Around 300 volunteers collected and managed 28 metric tons of waste as part of Bagmti Cleanup Mega Campaign.

The volunteers cleaned up various stretches of the Bagmati river, considered holy by Hindus. Areas covering Teku Dovan, Gaurighat and Guheshwori were cleaned up. Also the Ring Road was also cleaned as part of the campaign.

Bagmati Civilization Integrated Development Committee, Muktinath Development Bank and other organizations were involved in the cleaning campaign. With this, the Mega Campaign has reached 303rd week.
