Vote-count updates: Results of ward chairs as of 12:30 pm

KATHMANDU:  Of the total of 43 seats of the ward chairs, the vote count results of 39 have been declared. Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has won 22 ward chairs, Nepali Congress 11 and Samajwadi Party and Rastriya Janata Party (RJP) have won three seats each.

Gajadhar Rai has been elected as ward chair of Phidim Municipality-1, Bharat Kumar Ghimire in Khandbari Municipality-3, Shankhuwasabha, Jitendra Rai in Pauwadung Rural Municipality-1, Bhojpur.

NCP candidate Dhalendra Prasad Sherchan has been elected as ward chair of Badigad Rural Municipality.

Similarly, NCP candidate Janak Bahadur Budha Magar has been elected as ward chair of Thabang Rural Municipality-1.

Krishna Bahadur Tamang of NCP has won ward chair of Punarbas Municipality-3 of Kanchanpur district.

Likewise, NCP candidate Dharma Budhathoki has been elected as ward chair of  Kumakh Rural Municipality-5, in Salyan.

Nabin Kumar Shrestha has been elected in Sundar Bazaar-2 of Lamjung.  Dev Prasad Koirala of NCP has won in Dhulikhel Municipality-2.

Shiva Kala Rai has won ward chair in Sakela Rural Municipality-3., Khotang.

NCP candidate Shiva Bhakti Balami has won ward chair in Dakshinkali Municipality-3.

Similarly, Kedar Nath Acharya has been elected as ward chair of Indrawati Rural Municipality-8 in Sindhupalchowk.
NCP has won elections in Pauwadumba-1 in Bhojpur and Khandbari-3 of Sankhuwasabha.

Likewise, NCP has won in Adarsha-2 in Doti.

In the home town of Pushpa Kamal Dahal Chitwan, main opposition Nepali Congress has won ward chair in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-17.

In the elections held in three wards in the metropolis, NC has clinched win in all the wards. Amrit Hamal elected in Bharatpur-16 and Dev Bahadur Basnet in Khairahani Municipality-4.

In Khairahani-5, NC candidate Pratima Karki has been elected.

NC candidate Dipendra Shrestha has won in Gadimai-2 in Rautahat. Similarly, NC has won in Gorahi Sub-metropolitan City-16. Tara Bahadur DC has been elected as ward chair.

NC has won in Balawa-2 of Mahottari, Tribeni-1 of Bajura, Malarani-3 of Arghakhanchi, Surnaya Rural Municipality-1 of Baitadi.

Shyam Babu Raya of Samajbadi Party has been elected as ward chair of Haripurba Municipality-1 in Sarlahi.

Similarly, Khim Bahadur Thapa has been elected as ward chair of Baudikali Rural Municipality-5, Dharme Budhathoki in Kumakh Rural Municipality, Salyan, Shailendra Dhanuk in Purchaudi Rural Municipality-4, Baitadi, Shobhakar Khana in Ruru Rural Municipality-2, Gulmi, Mukti Pokharel in Pyuthan Municipality-2, Ram Bahadur Bohara in Adarsh Rural Municipality-2, Ramesh Bahadur Khadka in Mallekh Rural Municipality-5 and Manraje Budha has been elected in Tribeni Rural Municipality-1.

Bipin Pariyar has been elected in Balawa Municipality-2 in Mahottari, Dipendra Shrestha has been elected in Gadhimai Municipality-2, Rautahat, Amrit Raj Hamal in Bharatpur, Surendra Prasad Bhatta in Dogadakedar Rural Municipality-4, Shobhakar Khanal in Malapani Rural Municipality. Tara Bahadur DC has been elected in Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan-16, Dang. Likewise, NC has won ward chair at Dhanpalthan Rural Municipality-2.

RJP candidate Ram Babu Nayak has been elected as ward chair of Matihani Municipality-6 in Mahottari.

Similarly, Manju Mishra and Pramila Devi Yadav have been elected as ward chairs of Shiva Raj Municipality-10 and Chhinna Masta Rural Municipality-7, respectively.

Likewise, Shyam Babu Raya has been elected as ward chair in Haripurwa Municipality-1 and Surendra Prasad in Baragadhi Rural Municipality while Rup Lal Kumar Yadav have been elected in Prasauni Rural Municipality-5, said the EC.

Nepali Congress has won a provincial assembly elections in Bhaktapur- 1 (A).
