NCP, NC win in Panchthar

PANCHTHAR: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) candidate Gajhadhar Bhattarai has been elected as ward chair of Phidim Municipality-1 with a wide margin of 474 votes.

Of the total 3, 676 votes, 2, 682 votes had been cast. Bhattarai received 1, 446 votes while his closest rival Subaraj Thapa of Nepali Congress obtained 972 votes.

Similarly, NC candidate Til Bikram Idhingo has won ward chair of Hilihang Rural Municipality-7. Idhingo defeated NCP candidate Gehanath Rijal by 30 votes.

Indhingo secured 842 votes while his closest rival Rijal obtained 812.
