Nepal is holding the SAG for the third time 35 years after it was first organized in 1984.

“Nepal has already hosted the SAG twice and now it is set to hold it for the third time successfully,” said Member Secretary and Coordinator of the SAG Organizing Committee Ramesh Kumar Silwal.

Dasharath Stadium is decorated with various colors and so are the seats well-arranged under the parapet.
To make the inauguration ceremony entertaining and grand, over 15,000 artists are giving their performance.

Out of 15,000, 4,500 are from Armed Police Force, 1,500 from Nepal Army, 1,500 from Nepal Police, 3,000 are students and 4, 000 are other revelers. Around 3,000 professional artists are performing Nepali cultural dance and songs.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari will formally inaugurate the program at 5 pm today.

According to the program renowned player Dipk Bista will light the lamp and gold medalist Kamal Bahadur Adhikari will hold a Nepali flag during the march-past.

Around 22,000 security personnel have been deployed for the security throughout the SAG, informed member secretary Silwal.

Meanwhile, odd number rule for the vehicles has been imposed to ensure the smooth operation of the transport today.

The inauguration program will last for 3 hours and 14 minutes.
Even though the inauguration is held in Kathmandu, the matches will be held in Pokhara and Janakpur also.
