IGP Khanal directs for effective security for SAG guests

KATHMANDU: Inspector General of Nepal Police Sarbendra Khanal has directed police personnel deployed at Tribhuvan International Airport to make security arrangements effective for the athletes visiting Nepal to take part in the 13th South Asian Games scheduled to begin on December 1.

Stressing the need to provide quick and proper treatment to the guests participating in the SAG, he said it should be taken as an opportunity to provide security and service to them.

He also directed the police to do their best to control smuggling and criminal activities at the airport. He made this direction in the course of inspecting security equipment and resources at the airport.
