KATHMANDU: Doctors involved in the treatment of Prime Minister K P Oli say his confidence level is very high and is not worried at all.

“In fact, he (PM Oli) tell us he needs discharge as early as possible,” said cardiologist Arun Sayami, who has been involved in PM’s treatment, adding, “We admire his confidence.”

According to doctors, Prime Minister Oli’s health is improving ‘significantly’. His physical and biochemical requirements are improving as expected, doctors, who have started injecting solid foods through PM’s mouth, said.

PM Oli’s personal doctor Dr Dibya Singh Shah said his digestive system is pretty good and his respiratory system and blood pressure are in good condition.

The doctors involved in his treatment said the Prime Minister, who is receiving care at the intensive care unit, is out of a life-threatening condition as there are improvements in his health and kidneys.

According to doctors, PM Oli can walk slowly.

Prime Minister Oli underwent successful surgery for appendicitis at Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre in Maharajgunj on November 26.

Liver transplant specialist Ramesh Singh Bhandari said Prime Minister Oli’s surgical wound is slowly healing. “He can get discharged next week,” he said.
