JHAPA: A person died in an elephant attack at Kachankawal rural municipality in Jhapa on Thursday night.

The District Police Office, Jhapa confirmed the death of 55-year-old Kaya Raya Chhetri of Kachankawal-7 in the attack near the local Pathibhara community forest office.

Chhetri died on the spot.
