KATHMANDU: Minister of State for Industry, Commerce and Supply, Motilal Dugad, said that maximum facilities should be provided to industrialists and entrepreneurs of the private sector.

State Minister Dugad expressed the view that the government should welcome the private sector by rolling out the red carpet for the investment at a time when the country has been moving ahead towards the path of prosperity.

He said, “An environment conducive has been created to invest capital, which will help to establish industries and create employment. Poverty can be alleviated if employment is created. The economy can be made self-reliant.”

The State Minister further said that the Industry Ministry is the guardian of the private sector and it has a responsibility to grant permission to run industry and enterprises, promote it, protect it, as well as carry out market regulations and monitoring, adding that the Ministry would even play a coordinative role with other ministers for the same.
