KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs 153.81, while the selling rate is Rs 154.41.
The buying rate for one euro has been fixed at Rs 173.31 and the selling rate at Rs 173.99. Similarly, the buying rate for one UK pound sterling is Rs 202.94 and the selling rate is Rs 203.74, while the buying rate for one Swiss franc is Rs 183.76 and the selling rate is Rs 184.48.
The central bank has set the buying rate for one Australian dollar at Rs 106.61 and the selling rate at Rs 107.03. The buying and selling rates for one Canadian dollar are Rs 107.88 and Rs 108.30, respectively, while those for one Singapore dollar are Rs 120.01 and Rs 120.48.
The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at Rs 9.71 and the selling rate at Rs 9.75. Similarly, the buying rate for one Chinese yuan is Rs 22.94 and the selling rate is Rs 23.03. The buying rate for one Saudi Arabian riyal is Rs 40.96 and the selling rate is Rs 41.12, while the rates for one Qatari riyal are Rs 42.20 and Rs 42.36, respectively.
According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the buying rate for one Thai baht is Rs 4.56 and the selling rate is Rs 4.58. The buying rate for one UAE dirham is Rs 41.88 and the selling rate is Rs 42.04, while the buying and selling rates for one Malaysian ringgit are Rs 37.66 and Rs 37.80, respectively.
The buying rate for 100 South Korean won has been set at Rs 11.26 and the selling rate at Rs 11.30. Similarly, the buying rate for one Swedish krona is Rs 15.29 and the selling rate is Rs 15.35, while the rates for one Danish krone are Rs 23.18 and Rs 23.27, respectively.
The central bank has fixed the buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.60 and the selling rate at Rs 19.68. The buying and selling rates for one Kuwaiti dinar are Rs 499.46 and Rs 501.41, respectively, while those for one Bahraini dinar are Rs 407.97 and Rs 409.56.
The buying rate for one Omani rial has been set at Rs 399.51 and the selling rate at Rs 401.07. The buying and selling rates for 100 Indian rupees have both been fixed at Rs 160.
Nepal Rastra Bank said the exchange rates may be revised at any time if necessary. It also noted that exchange rates quoted by commercial banks may differ from the central bank’s rates. Updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
