KATHMANDU: The way people learn and work is changing rapidly. To help Nepali students prepare for this evolving future, inDrive, in collaboration with Sharing Opportunities, is organizing a youth-focused workshop designed to develop the skills, mindset, and awareness they need to navigate their educational and career journeys.
In 2026, more than 284,000 students passed the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) and enrolled in Grade 11, marking a significant turning point in their educational and career paths. For many students, this is an important stage at which they begin making decisions about their subjects of study, higher education, future careers, and long-term goals.
At the same time, artificial intelligence (AI), automation, technological advancements, climate change, and emerging shifts in the labor market are reshaping how people learn, work, and build careers. While formal educational qualifications remain important, young people increasingly need the skills to not only adapt to change but also identify and make the most of emerging opportunities.
inDrive’s Future Ready Youth Program aims to address this growing need. Samaya Khadka, Founder and CEO of Sharing Opportunities, said, “Preparing students for the future is not just about helping them choose a career. It means helping them understand how the world is changing and equipping them with the skills and abilities to face those changes with confidence.”
The program will feature two interactive sessions led by experienced educators and youth leaders.
The first session will be led by Dr. Niti Aryal Khanal, an Australia Awards alumna and Fulbright Visiting Scholar with nearly two decades of experience in teaching, research, mentoring, and leadership development in higher education.
Her session will focus on developing mental resilience, adaptability, and positive thinking. It will also provide guidance on planning educational and professional journeys in Nepal and abroad, understanding global education and employment opportunities, and making informed decisions amid the uncertainties of the future.
The second session will be moderated by Samaya Khadka, a Kathmandu-based social entrepreneur, teacher, and youth campaigner with practical experience in leadership, innovation, youth development, and creating opportunities for young people.
The session will focus on leadership, effective communication, and problem-solving skills. It will explore ways to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, encourage new ways of thinking, turn challenges into opportunities, and acquire practical skills needed in a rapidly changing workplace.
The joint initiative by inDrive and Sharing Opportunities reflects their shared commitment to preparing young people for the future by taking them beyond the traditional classroom and connecting them with practical knowledge, informed guidance, and new perspectives.
