KATHMANDU: Home Minister Sudan Gurung is set to interact directly with citizens as part of the Rastriya Swatantra Party’s (RSP) ongoing “Citizens, Policy and Leadership” programme.
According to the RSP, Gurung will visit the party’s central office on Monday to listen to citizens’ grievances, concerns, suggestions and expectations.
The programme will be held in two phases. During the first phase, members of the public will have the opportunity to directly raise their concerns, share problems and offer suggestions with the home minister.
In the second phase, Gurung, lawmakers and the party’s central leadership will hold discussions on current and policy-related issues, taking into account the feedback received from citizens, the party said.
The programme is scheduled to begin after 5 p.m. at the RSP central office.
The party said the initiative is aimed at creating a direct link between citizens’ views and government and party policymaking, while also helping ensure more effective implementation of policies.
The RSP has called on interested citizens to participate actively in the programme and help facilitate the discussions.
