KATHMANDU: Shram Sanskriti Party Chairman Harka Sampang has said that the current religious and communal tensions in the country can be resolved only through dialogue, cooperation, and mutual respect.
Issuing a statement on Friday, he said that Nepal belongs equally to all Nepalis and that the rights of citizens of every religion must be guaranteed. He emphasized that a high degree of tolerance toward all religions and religious beliefs is essential for preserving harmony.
Sampang clarified that the Shram Sanskriti Party respects all religions equally and does not view any religion as closer or more distant than another.
He stressed that political parties, civil society, and all stakeholders should engage in dialogue and cooperation with a positive mindset and a shared commitment to resolving the ongoing religious and communal tensions.
He also said that the government must play a leading role in maintaining peace and public order, adding that the Shram Sanskriti Party is always ready to extend constructive support.
Sampang made a heartfelt appeal to everyone to refrain from making statements or taking actions through any medium that could disturb religious harmony or further aggravate the situation.
