MORANG: Sukuna Secondary School in Sundarharaicha Municipality-10, Morang, has urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information on social media that could influence an ongoing investigation into allegations of misconduct against female students.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the school said it had taken serious note of content being circulated by a social media group called SKN Confession and Meme regarding activities at the school.
The school said it welcomed efforts to expose any wrongdoing by teachers or staff if it contributed to improving the institution. It stressed that victims must receive fair justice and that anyone found guilty should face strict legal action.
According to the statement, the teachers and staff members accused in the case have already been suspended, and the school is fully cooperating with the relevant authorities to ensure an impartial investigation. It added that the competent authorities have already begun their inquiry.
However, the school expressed concern that social media users were accusing teachers and staff without evidence or the outcome of the investigation, damaging their reputation and undermining the school’s long-standing credibility.
The school appealed to the public not to engage in activities that could interfere with the investigation or prejudice its outcome.
It also requested anyone with complaints or suggestions related to the school to report them through official channels, including the school administration, the grievance hearing committee, the School Management Committee, the Education Branch of Sundarharaicha Municipality, or the local police.
The school said it has formed a five-member grievance hearing committee comprising representatives from the School Management Committee, the Parents-Teachers Association, and the local ward office, where complaints can be submitted safely.
The statement also urged parents, intellectuals, social workers, local representatives and political parties to exercise patience and support the school’s efforts to ensure students can continue their education in a safe and secure environment while the investigation proceeds.
