Series of meetings among senior NC leaders fuels speculation over internal strategy



KATHMANDU: A series of meetings among senior leaders of the Nepali Congress over the past three days has drawn attention amid evolving political dynamics within the party.

From Thursday through Saturday, influential party leaders held separate discussions at different locations, focusing on the current political situation and the party’s internal strategy.

On Thursday, senior leader Purna Bahadur Khadka met with Shashanka Koirala at Khadka’s residence in Golfutar. Later the same day, Khadka also held a separate meeting with Shekhar Koirala in Maharajgunj.

Separately, Bimalendra Nidhi, Prakash Man Singh, and Dr. Shashanka Koirala met at Baneshwor Heights on Thursday.

On Friday, senior leaders close to Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba gathered in Golfutar to discuss the party’s current political situation, the government’s performance, and organizational matters.

The meetings continued on Saturday, with Bimalendra Nidhi and Dr. Shekhar Koirala holding discussions at Baneshwor Heights.

The series of meetings has been viewed as part of ongoing efforts to shape political alignments, organizational activities, and the party’s future strategy. However, no official details regarding the agenda or outcomes of the discussions have been made public.
