Youth killed after being hit by vehicle on East-West Highway in Nawalparasi



MADHYABINDU: A 23-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle in the Kharkatta area of Kawasoti Municipality-8 along the East-West Highway in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta Purba) on Tuesday night.

According to the District Police Office, the deceased has been identified as Til Bahadur Rana Magar, 23, of Hupsekot Rural Municipality-5.

Police said Rana Magar was critically injured in the accident and was immediately rushed to Madhyabindu Provincial Hospital in Danda for treatment. He was later referred to a hospital in Chitwan, where he succumbed to his injuries this morning.

Superintendent of Police Yubraj Khadka said that a search operation has been launched to locate the vehicle involved in the incident as well as its driver.

Further investigation into the accident is underway, police added.
