KATHMANDU: Five committees under the Federal Parliament are scheduled to hold meetings today to discuss a range of legislative, policy and development-related issues.
The committees meeting today include the Finance Committee, Infrastructure Development Committee, Legislation Management Committee, Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee, and the Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns Committee.
The Finance Committee is scheduled to meet at 9:00 am in Singha Durbar, where members will discuss the committee’s draft operating procedures.
Similarly, the Infrastructure Development Committee will convene at 9:00 am in its meeting hall to deliberate on issues related to public transport management and freight transportation systems.
The Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee is set to meet at 10:00 am and will hold discussions with the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction regarding the work plan for the construction of the Gallery Meeting (Old Parliament) Building.
The Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns Committee will meet at 11:00 am and is expected to discuss revisions to the jurisdiction and scope of its subcommittee.
Likewise, the Legislation Management Committee will convene at 11:15 am in Singha Durbar to discuss matters related to its annual work plan.
