Four footballers including Bimal Gharti Magar dismissed

KATHMANDU: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has dismissed four national players ahead of the clash against Kuwait under the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The national football governing body dismissed star footballer Bimal Gharti Magar, midfielders Anjan Bista and Santosh Tamang and defender Dinesh Rajbanshi.

ANFA said it took an action against them for visiting nightclubs in Thamel on the eve of leaving Nepal for Bhutan. It took the decision following a consultation with Head Coach Johan Kalin.

The national team has been scheduled to leave for Bhutan at 3 pm this afternoon. ANFA has called four alternative players in their place for the clash against Kuwait.

The home match for Nepal will be played at a neutral venue in Thimpu, Bhutan on Tuesday.
