Rain, clouds likely in several parts of Nepal today



KATHMANDU: Weather conditions are expected to remain partly cloudy to rainy in several parts of the country, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

According to the Division, this afternoon it will be generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, and Gandaki Province, as well as in other mountainous areas.

The hilly regions of Madhes Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpaschim Province are expected to remain partly cloudy, while most parts of the Terai will stay mainly clear.

The Division has stated that there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall, along with thunder and lightning, in some places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, and light rain or snowfall in one or two places in other mountainous and hilly areas.

It has also warned of the possibility of hot conditions in some parts of the Terai, including Madhes Province and the Terai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

Tonight, Koshi Province and the mountainous regions of the country are expected to remain generally cloudy, while hilly regions will be partly cloudy and most parts of the Terai will remain mainly clear.

There is also a possibility of light rain or snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places in Koshi Province, the mountainous and hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, and one or two places in the mountainous regions of Karnali Province, according to the Division.
