KATHMANDU: The government has announced that it will introduce a new law on the recovery of outstanding credit (receivables) in the upcoming fiscal year.
Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle made the announcement while presenting the budget for fiscal year 2026/27 in the Federal Parliament.
The proposed legal framework aims to strengthen the recovery of unpaid dues, a long-standing demand of private sector entrepreneurs and business stakeholders who have been calling for clearer enforcement mechanisms to address delayed payments.
