Delhi continues to struggle for fresh air quality

NEW DELHI: New Delhi is reeling under severe pollution with thick smog stiffening its choke in the Indian capital.

Several school children wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking him to take measures to ensure clean air.

Meanwhile, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party has remained undecided on extending the Odd-Even rule in New Delhi.

Friday, too, is unlikely to see any better as weather experts predict a similar situation owing to the influence of a western disturbance.

On Friday, the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) in New Delhi was recorded at 482. This falls under the ‘severe’ category with PM10 being 504 and PM2.5 – 332. (Agencies)
