UML Secretariat meeting begins at Oli’s Gundu residence to finalize leaders’ responsibilities

KATHMANDU: A Secretariat meeting of CPN-UML has begun at the Gundu residence of party Chairperson KP Sharma Oli.

The meeting is expected to finalize the division of responsibilities among party leaders. Chairperson Oli had already presented a proposed task division during Monday’s Secretariat meeting.

The meeting is also likely to discuss possible disciplinary action against some senior leaders who have recently been critical of the party leadership.

According to party sources, the meeting will determine the hierarchy of leaders elected from the party’s 11th General Convention held from December 14 to 18, 2025.

The UML leadership is also expected to assign responsibilities for various party departments and discuss election reviews during the meeting.

In addition, the party is preparing to form a task force to hold discussions on constitutional amendment issues.
