RSP to hold first general convention in Chitwan in June

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has decided to hold its first general convention in Chitwan from June 21 to 23.

The decision was made during the party’s ongoing central committee meeting at its central office in Banasthali. Party Chair Rabi Lamichhane had initially proposed holding the convention on June 20, 21 and 22, but the committee agreed on June 21, 22 and 23 instead.

Earlier, the RSP had made a theoretical decision to organise its general convention within six months of the completion of the elections. Accordingly, the convention was expected to be held by September.

The RSP was established in 2022.

Party spokesperson Manish Jha said today’s central committee meeting agenda includes discussions on the general convention and various other organisational matters.
