2 killed, 3 injured in Carrollton shootings linked to business dispute

TEXAS: Two people were killed and three others sustained injuries following two separate shooting incidents on Tuesday morning in Carrollton, Texas, which police believe were triggered by a business-related dispute.

Authorities identified the suspect as 69-year-old Seung Han Ho, who has been taken into custody in connection with both shootings, according to Carrollton Police Chief Roberto Arredondo.

The first incident occurred at around 9:57 a.m. in the 4000 block of State Highway 121 at K Towne Plaza. Police and fire responders arrived to find four adults with gunshot wounds inside Gwang Jang Korean Market.

One male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say the group had been meeting the suspect for business discussions when the shooting took place.

A second shooting was reported later at 11:13 a.m. in the city’s Koreatown area near I-35 and the George Bush Turnpike, in the 2700 block of Old Denton Road. Officers discovered another deceased man inside an apartment.

Police later determined that both incidents were connected and carried out by the same suspect.

During questioning, investigators say Ho admitted to shooting all five victims. He reportedly stated that he acted out of anger stemming from financial disputes linked to their business dealings.
