NRB sets today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign exchange rates for today.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar stands at Rs 150.50, while the selling rate is Rs 151.10. The euro is being traded at Rs 176.36 for buying and Rs 177.07 for selling, while the UK pound sterling is set at Rs 203.23 (buying) and Rs 204.04 (selling). The Swiss franc is priced at Rs 191.63 for buying and Rs 192.40 for selling.

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is valued at Rs 107.63 (buying) and Rs 108.06 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 109.95 and Rs 110.39, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 117.95 and Rs 118.42.

The Japanese yen (per 10 units) is set at Rs 9.44 for buying and Rs 9.48 for selling. The Chinese yuan stands at Rs 22.01 (buying) and Rs 22.10 (selling). Similarly, the Saudi riyal is fixed at Rs 40.13 and Rs 40.29, while the Qatari riyal is at Rs 41.28 and Rs 41.45.

The Thai baht is priced at Rs 4.65 (buying) and Rs 4.67 (selling), the UAE dirham at Rs 40.97 and Rs 41.14, the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.96 and Rs 38.11, and the South Korean won at Rs 10.18 and Rs 10.22. The Swedish krona is set at Rs 16.31 and Rs 16.38, while the Danish krone stands at Rs 23.60 and Rs 23.69.

Likewise, the Hong Kong dollar is valued at Rs 19.21 (buying) and Rs 19.29 (selling). The Kuwaiti dinar is fixed at Rs 490.87 and Rs 492.82, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 398.57 and Rs 400.16, and the Omani riyal at Rs 390.90 and Rs 392.46.

The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

The central bank noted that these rates may be revised at any time as required. It also stated that rates offered by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on the NRB’s official website.
