NRB fixes today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign exchange rates for today.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is Rs 149.78, while the selling rate is Rs 150.38.

The buying rate of one euro stands at Rs 175.91 and the selling rate at Rs 176.61. Similarly, one UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 202.35 and sold at Rs 203.16, while the Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 191.67 and a selling rate of Rs 192.44.

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 107.20 and sold at Rs 107.63. The Canadian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 109.67 and a selling rate of Rs 110.11, while the Singapore dollar is set at Rs 117.63 for buying and Rs 118.10 for selling.

In Asian markets, 10 Japanese yen are being bought at Rs 9.41 and sold at Rs 9.44. The Chinese yuan has a buying rate of Rs 21.95 and a selling rate of Rs 22.04. The Saudi Arabian riyal is priced at Rs 39.94 for buying and Rs 40.10 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 41.09 and Rs 41.26 respectively.

Similarly, the Thai baht is being traded at Rs 4.65 (buying) and Rs 4.67 (selling). The UAE dirham is set at Rs 40.78 for buying and Rs 40.94 for selling. The Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 37.90 for buying and Rs 38.05 for selling. Meanwhile, 100 South Korean won are valued at Rs 10.13 (buying) and Rs 10.17 (selling).

Among European currencies, the Danish krone is priced at Rs 23.54 for buying and Rs 23.63 for selling.

Other currencies include the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.12 (buying) and Rs 19.20 (selling), the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 488.76 (buying) and Rs 490.72 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 397.29 (buying) and Rs 398.89 (selling), and the Omani rial at Rs 389.03 (buying) and Rs 390.59 (selling).

The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

The central bank noted that these rates may be revised at any time as needed, and that rates set by commercial banks may vary. Updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
