Bhojpur Gold Cup Football Tournament begins today



BHOJPUR: The ninth edition of the Bhojpur Gold Cup Football Tournament kicks off today in Bhojpur.

The opening match, to be held at the stadium in Bhojpur Municipality-7, will see Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal take on LX City Morang.

A total of eight teams are competing in the tournament, including APF Nepal, LX City Morang, Bhojpur District Football Association, Sankhuwasabha-11, Satdobato Youth Club (Lalitpur), Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality (Khotang), Planning Boys United (Kathmandu), and The Gorkhas Football Club (Udayapur).

The tournament will run until April 25. The champions will receive Rs 500,000, while the runners-up will take home Rs 300,000.

Organizers have also arranged individual awards for best player, top scorer, and best goalkeeper.
