Congress leaders’ meeting underway at Khadka residence

KATHMANDU: The meeting of former office bearers of the Nepali Congress is currently underway at the residence of former acting party president Purna Bahadur Khadka.

The meeting was called after the Supreme Court reportedly delivered a decision in favor of Gagan Thapa in relation to an internal party legitimacy dispute, prompting Khadka to convene leaders aligned with his faction for discussions.

The meeting, held at Khadka’s residence in Golfutar, is being attended by former vice president Bimalendra Nidhi, former general secretaries Dr. Shashank Koirala, Krishna Prasad Sitaula, and Dr. Prakashman Singh, among other leaders.

However, leaders from the faction led by Dr. Shekhar Koirala are not present in the meeting.
