Nepal thanks UAE for pardoning 128 Nepali inmates on Ramadan



KATHMANDU: Nepal has expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for pardoning 128 Nepali inmates on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a press release issued on April 15, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Nepal highly values the humanitarian gesture, describing it as a reflection of the cordial bilateral relations between the two countries.

The government noted that the pardon was granted on humanitarian grounds and demonstrates goodwill and mutual respect in Nepal-UAE ties.

According to the statement, the decision was taken following a request by the Government of Nepal through the Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi.
