Former Home Minister Lekhak released



KATHMANDU: Following the release of CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has also been freed after 13 days in detention.

Lekhak, a leader of the Nepali Congress, was released on bail and handed over to his family members, according to Kathmandu Police spokesperson SP Pawan Kumar Bhattarai.

He was released from the Nepal Police’s No. 2 Armed Police Battalion on the 13th day of his arrest and handed over to his wife, Yashoda Lekhak.

Earlier, a police team had handed over Oli to his wife, Radhika Shakya, and other relatives from the hospital premises in Maharajgunj.
