MAHENDRANAGAR: Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Youth and Sports Sasmit Pokharel has said the government will support the construction of the Fapla Cricket Ground in Dhangadhi, Kailali.
Minister Pokharel, who arrived in Dhangadhi this morning, made the remarks during an inspection of the proposed site. He noted the growing enthusiasm for cricket in the Sudurpaschim Province.
“Previous governments have also prioritized Fapla,” he said, adding that the current government will move forward by giving due importance to the project.
The minister is in the region to attend the assembly of Shahid Dasharath Chand Health Sciences University in Geta, Kailali, according to his personal secretary Arju Lohani. He also inspected Far-West University in Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur, and the dry port under construction in Dodhara Chandani.
