KATHMANDU: Kathmandu experienced colder conditions this morning compared to the previous day, with temperatures falling noticeably overnight.
According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the minimum temperature in the Valley dropped by at least 2 degrees Celsius compared to Sunday. It said that the temperature recorded at 5:45 am stood at 14.9°C.
However, this is a preliminary reading. The official minimum temperature will be recorded at 8:45 am, which may show a slight further drop or remain unchanged.
On Sunday, the Valley recorded a minimum temperature of 17.1°C and a maximum of 26.7°C.
The Division measures minimum and maximum temperatures daily across the country, including Kathmandu. The minimum temperature reflects conditions from night to early morning and is recorded at 8:45 am, while the maximum temperature—indicating daytime conditions—is measured at 5:45 pm.
