Kathmandu District Court convicts Supreme Court branch officer Mahiman Singh Bista in forgery case



KATHMANDU: Mahiman Singh Bista has been found guilty by the Kathmandu District Court for a written document-related offense.

Bista was convicted for issuing a fake letter that led to the arrest of Resham Lal Chaudhary, the then-chairman of the Nayarit Unmukti Party. Chaudhary was arrested on the basis of the forged letter issued by Bista on April 30, 2025.

The verdict was delivered on Sunday by a bench of Judge Khimananda Bhusal. The court has ordered that additional charges be presented for sentencing.
