One killed, two injured in motorcycle collision in Sunsari



SUNSARI: One person was killed and two others were injured in a motorcycle collision in Itahari Sub-metropolitan City-20, Sunsari, last evening.

The deceased has been identified as Amar Bahadur Bhujel, around 50, of Shantinagar, Itahari-2, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Chandra Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office, Sunsari.

Bhujel sustained critical injuries when two motorcycles, bearing registration numbers 1-02-020 Pa 6883 and 1-02-020 Pa 6340, collided. He later died during treatment, police said.

The injured have been identified as Rohit Giri, 17, of Tharara, Itahari-20, and Smile Rai, 19. Rai is undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan, while Giri is receiving treatment at Birat Teaching Hospital in Biratnagar.

Police said further investigation into the incident is underway.
