NRB sets foreign exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 151.44 and the selling rate at Rs 152.04.

The buying rate of one euro stands at Rs 173.69 and the selling rate at Rs 174.38, while the UK pound sterling is valued at Rs 200.06 for buying and Rs 200.85 for selling. Similarly, the Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 189.18 and a selling rate of Rs 189.93.

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is priced at Rs 104.10 for buying and Rs 104.51 for selling, the Canadian dollar at Rs 108.63 and Rs 109.06, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 117.39 and Rs 117.86, respectively.

For Asian currencies, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.49 and the selling rate Rs 9.53. The Chinese yuan is set at Rs 21.93 for buying and Rs 22.01 for selling, while the Saudi riyal stands at Rs 40.36 and Rs 40.52, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 41.55 and Rs 41.71.

Likewise, the Thai baht is valued at Rs 4.61 for buying and Rs 4.62 for selling, the UAE dirham at Rs 41.24 and Rs 41.40, the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.40 and Rs 37.55, and the South Korean won at Rs 0.92 and Rs 0.96. The Swedish krona is set at Rs 15.86 and Rs 15.93, while the Danish krone stands at Rs 23.25 and Rs 23.34.

Other currencies include the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.32 for buying and Rs 19.39 for selling, the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 493.37 and Rs 495.32, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 401.70 and Rs 403.29, and the Omani rial at Rs 393.35 and Rs 394.90.

The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

NRB stated that the rates are subject to revision at any time as needed. It also noted that exchange rates offered by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
