POKHARA: The Gandaki Province Assembly has unanimously passed the Public Health Bill.
The bill, along with a report from the Social Development and Agriculture Committee, was presented in the Assembly before being endorsed. It had earlier been sent to the committee on April 4, 2025, for clause-wise discussion.
Province Assembly members Dil Maya Pauwi, Kusum Budha Pun, and Debaka Pahad Tripathi participated in the deliberations on the bill.
Minister for Health Krishna Prasad Pathak had tabled the bill in the Assembly.
Speaking at the meeting, Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pande acknowledged that the government was unable to introduce new legislation during the winter session due to time constraints. He reiterated the province government’s commitment to good governance, transparency, corruption control, and fiscal discipline.
