Protests against Oli’s arrest held in Pokhara



KATHMANDU: Protests have been staged in various parts of the country against the arrest of KP Sharma Oli, chair of the CPN-UML party, and former home minister Ramesh Lekhak, with supporters describing the move as political retaliation.

Party leaders and cadres have taken to the streets chanting slogans against the government and demanding the release of Oli.

In this context, UML supporters also staged demonstrations in Pokhara, expressing dissatisfaction with the government’s decision.

Following the arrests, protests have intensified in several cities across the country, while security has been tightened in many areas.
