Police seize three vehicles involved in illegal river material extraction in Tanahun



KATHMANDU: Police in Tanahun District have taken control of three vehicles involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of riverbed materials.

A police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Saranghat, seized the vehicles on Wednesday while they were loading gravel illegally in the Bagar Khola area of Bandipur Rural Municipality–6.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shravan Kumar Bik of the District Police Office, Tanahun, the seized vehicles include a JCB (Lu 1 Ka 3241) and two tipper trucks (Ga 1 Ka 5442 and Ga 1 Kha 7436).

He said the vehicles have been sent to the office of Bandipur Rural Municipality for necessary action.

Police have also stated that monitoring will be further intensified to control illegal extraction and transportation activities in the area.
